Enhanced Top & Bottom Sellers - Trakn

Summary of Changes

We've refreshed the Top & Bottom Sellers page with an improved, cleaner user interface while retaining the existing functionality. Top Sellers and Bottom Sellers have also been separated into individual components, allowing users to add either component independently to their Custom Dashboards.

Change Details

Refreshed Top & Bottom Sellers UI – The page has been redesigned to provide a cleaner presentation of category and item performance while retaining the existing underlying functionality and calculations.

Sorting Options – Users can control how items are ranked within each category using:

Sort by Amount
Sort by Quantity

The default selection is Sort by Quantity.

Net Sales Percentage Options – Users can choose how each item's sales contribution is represented:

% of Net Sales of Category
% of Total Net Sales (All Categories)

The default selection is % of Net Sales of Category.

Number of Items Displayed – Users can control how many items are displayed within each category:

Show 5
Show 10
Show 20
Show All

The default selection is Show 10.

Independent Top & Bottom Sellers Components

– Top Sellers and Bottom Sellers are now available as separate components within Custom Dashboards. Users can add either component independently instead of having to include both together.

Reordering of Category Tables

– Users can simply drag and drop category tables to rearrange their order, allowing the most important categories to be prioritised for easier analysis.

Page-Specific Settings

– Selections made using the Top & Bottom Sellers page controls apply to the current page only and do not affect scheduled reports.

Default Settings Restored on Page Navigation

– The Top & Bottom Sellers page does not retain changed selections when users navigate away. When they return to the page, it loads using its defined default settings:

Sort by Quantity
% of Net Sales of Category
Show 10

This behaviour applies even when navigating between pages during the same logged-in session.

Assumptions & Limitations

This release changes the user interface and component structure without changing the underlying Top & Bottom Sellers functionality or calculations.
Page-level selections are temporary and are not retained when navigating away from the page.
Page-level selections do not impact existing schedules.
Top Sellers and Bottom Sellers can be independently added and configured within Custom Dashboards.
The standard Top & Bottom Sellers page always returns to its defined default selections when revisited.

Impact

This enhancement provides a cleaner and more flexible way to analyse product performance while preserving the familiar Top & Bottom Sellers functionality. Users can customise their immediate analysis without affecting schedules and gain greater flexibility by adding Top Sellers or Bottom Sellers independently to their Custom Dashboards.
