We’re excited to announce the release of Custom Period View in Trakn, designed to better support clients who follow non-calendar financial structures such as 4-4-5, 4-5-5, and other multi-week period calendars.

Trakn now supports a Custom Period View that aligns reporting with client-specific period calendars instead of standard calendar months.

Change Details
- A new Period View is available that supports custom period calendars.
- Users can view reports based on configured period structures.
- If a custom calendar is not configured, the Period View will continue to work as earlier, allowing manual multi-weeks selection.
- Now you can view different calendars for different sites in the all new Period view.
Assumptions & Limitations
- YTD figures in the new Period View are currently calculated from 1st January only. YTD's calculation based on the client’s financial year start date will be available in the next release on 26th Jan.
- Quarter View is currently based on calendar quarters. Support for custom quarters will be introduced in a future release scheduled for 23rd Feb.
- Scheduling by Period will not be available in this release and will be rolled out in next release on 26th Jan.
- If a custom period calendar is not available, the Period View will behave as it did earlier, supporting manual multi-week selection.
- If a custom calendar is not available for previous year but Trakn has data for the same, LY comparisons will show zero values.
How to Enable Custom Period View
To view reports using the Custom Period View, please share your custom period calendar with : tanmay@wenodo.com, or Your Customer Success Manager. Once configured, the custom periods will be available automatically in Trakn.
